ReplyDeleteSouthern Mississippi -6 vs Marshall. I'm hopping right back on betting AGAINST Marshall - one of the worst teams in the country, playing out the string. Marshall has twice been a home dog, and is 0-2 in those games. At home they are a terrible 3-8-1 ATS, and overall are 5-18-1 ATS overall. They are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games. This is a team that is phoning it in. Southern Miss isn't a great road ATS team, but they just came off a 19 point thumping of East Carolina (albeit at home), while our Thundering Hurd (or turd in this case) just won us easy coin on Saturday by getting destroyed at Houston. I like Southern Miss for 1 or 2%.
I also like another big home favorite to cover. This time:
Kansas St -21 vs TCU. TCU has been unbelievably bad lately. They started off the year 9-4, and since then have lost 15 of their last 16 ballgames, including 7 in a row outright, and 7 in a row ATS (1-13 ATS). They haven't covered a road spread in 7 weeks since Jan 12th. After that win, Kansas State promptly beat them on their own court 67-54. I think this time around, Kansas State (who just beat and covered a 19 pt spread vs our buddies from Texas Tech last week) blow the Horned Frogs out of the water. 1 or 2% on this game too.
Those are my 2 games I like today. I rank them as

Good morning everybody! As the blog's official provider of the artist making Lang's picks, I thought I'd do a little research on the artist. Since I started posting his plays on Feb. 7, the artist's total record is 18-8-1. I dug a little deeper and found that his record when betting on home underdogs is a staggering 12-2-1 (85.7%)! His record otherwise is 6-6. I propose taking his home underdog plays for 2% while leaving the others alone. Thoughts?

ReplyDelete2% is like 20 dimes (with a 1,000 dime starting bankroll) for someone starting out. It is conservative compared to someone giving a player a 100 dime play which would be 10% of the bankroll.

ReplyDeleteHavent been able to pull over at a Rest Stop and check in on the blog. Tough driving out here in the Midwest. On my way to Lawrence Kansas to personally thank the walkons last night for holding down the cover the last 5 minutes.
Winter Storm Saturn is a bear! If the roads clear up, I am thinking about taking the short trip over to Manhattan Kansas to take in the Wildcats tonight. My only concern is that they have parking for the Semi on campus.
I do like the Kansas State play.
I do not want to muddle the board with tons of plays, but I have a sneaky suspicion that Notre Dame and Providence may be worth a look tonight. (All last week... conference games where the home team was favored by 9-11 points have come in like a charm (Louisville last night etc etc etc). St Johns dismissed their leading scorer and Seton Hall has been riddled with injuries all year long. Both teams take it to the road with little motivation.
