Remember, the South Florida Bulls made the NCAA Tournament last year due to a hot finish to the season. They returned several players from that team this year. South Florida has won two of its last three games with its only loss coming at Cincinnati in overtime as a 12.5-point underdog. South Florida is 6-0 ATS when playing against a team with a losing record after 15 or more games over the last 3 seasons. It is beating these teams 70.8 to 59.3, or by an average of 11.5 points/game. Seton Hall is 0-6 ATS after having lost 2 of their last 3 games this season. It is losing in this spot 58.3 to 68.2, or by an average of 9.9 points/game. ReplyDeleteLast time SD St played ND St - they won by 16. That was at SDST. When they played at NDST in December - during the holidays, they lost by 3. But that was the 4th road game in a row (out of 6 total) - played on Dec 29th no less. (Yes - these are kids and they get distracted - playing constantly on the road during Xmas/New Years holiday make a difference). And still NDST only won at home by 3. I think the game goes more the way it did on January 26th when SD ST won 69-53. SDST was the favorite to win this Summit Tourney. They've won their last three games by 18, 17 and 18, the last two in the tourney. Can anyone tell me why they are GETTING a point?? I mean, yes, NDST won their 2 tourney games too, but not as convincingly as South Dakota St. NDST beat UMKC by 11, and our W. Illinois team yesterday by 12. Hey, maybe I'm nuts, but I don't know why they are favored. Looking at the numbers, I like South Dakota St. Unless there is some factor I'm unaware of - like some major injury.
