  4. Morning Boys....

Sorry I have not been around much the last few days. I had to leave the Rig in the states and jump on a flight to the Carribbean.

The Old lady insisted we take a break from logging miles and relax on a beach.

Little does she know that I will be at the bar the next few days watching these games come in LOL.

Lets make some $$$ these first few rounds.

Hmmmm wondering if there will be Carribbean Trannies at the beach bar???

  12. I kinda like Memphis today. They are currently -1 versus St. Mary's. I can't figure this line out. St. Mary's is there because that Delavedova kid was hitting 3's like they were layups. Can he do that against Memphis? The only concerning thing is Memphis is just around .500 ATS. But this is a virtual pickem game. Anyone think Memphis is LOSING this game? If so - I'd like to know why. Now - that said, they'll promptly lose. lol. But St. Mary's lives and dies by the 3 point shot. And Memphis knows this too. I also see them getting out rebounded by Memphis. As a TEAM St. Mary's shot 57% 3-pointers the other night vs Middle Tenn. That is simply NOT sustainable. Hey, if they do it and win, then they win. But I think a good 1% bet on Memphis is the way to go on this one.
    Thoughts?

  15. That parlay is a joke. He tosses 2 underdogs in a 3 team parlay?? Best of luck Brandon. And I really don't see Harvard covering that spread.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Fading parlays is a dangerous game. I'd say ignore it. Mainly because Lang could go 2-1 and lose. He has to go 1-2 for us to win anything. I'm just fading his crummy Harvard pick.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I really hope this isnt BLang doing these plays. The large dime play and his BS parlays. Its so old skool BLang.

We just want a winning play BLang (or a fade play).
I will chip in during these next 2 wks and get a Rosica play if we need it. Slats: you've been really good to us. Payin it fwd to the group.

  18. Good morning everyone. no way I'm playing Harvard going cross country in high altitude. not much feeling on Memphis. they r very athletic but can't stop high efficient offenses and I think sMC is top 30.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I had said last night I like Davidson an I amliking Missouri. both very good rebounding teams and I think pressey could.put them over the top. Like cal as well against unlv. any thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  20. hi Rick, let's have a great tourney!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I could roll with New Mexico if you guys want to roll with that. I can see this hybrid thing 2 ways. Yes he won last night so we could tail. Also, we all know he copied Rosica and lost his last play with MTSU. That being said, I could see fading. I'm with whatever you guys want to do because I have no clue what he's doing now.

    ReplyDelete
  22. When in doubt, I look at the pick. And Harvard traveling West to Utah to take on New Mexico in it's own backyard doesn't sound like the time to be on Harvard. Just my take.

    ReplyDelete
  23. any thought on VCU today ? how do they not win by dbl digits Akron PG suspended for the tourney can the back up handle that pressure ? they have been terrible with turn overs the 2 gm's w/o him

  36. Rosica's write up:

    HARVARD (CBB)
    75 Dime Release

    Lets stick to the facts:

The whole world thinks NM is going to crush Harvard for many reasons.

    1) People view Ivy League Basketball as soft.

    2) People know the Lobos are a finely-tuned machine.

    3) The Lobos have the Size - 6-9 Aussie Cameron Bairstow and 7 foot
    sophmore Alex Kirk.

    4) Basically a home game for NM as there will be a big pro-Lobo contingent in their preferred Salt Lake City venue.

Look, I Know this, you know this, every gambler knows this and I have news for you... SO DO THE ODDSMAKERS! Trust me, I used to be one of them! The oddsmakers are going to make you pay a hefty price if you want to bet on the seemingly attractive team and with all the hype of March Mayhem, suckers are more than willing to overpay!

NOT US! We don't buy hype - we grab the value!

    Bottom Line:
    THIS PRICE IS SUPER-INFLATED!

The Crimson were good enough to hold their own vs. a lot of big schools this season... They covered vs. UMass, UConn, Saint Mary’s & Memphis, and got outright wins vs. Boston College and Cal...with all of those games
    on the road.

This Harvard bunch probably can't win this game, but they will fight till the end and they will get the cover because we are getting a minimum of 4 extra points here. When I did my line this morning, I had NM laying 7, with the game a solid 11 everywhere, Harvard becomes 75 Dime Winner # 9 out of 11!

Now I might be jinxing myself here but saw the 137 total for the Marquette game and took the Under and only 48 pts in the 1st half. Can't see them scoring 89 in the 2nd. So what I'm trying to say is don't be afraid of the Under bet lol

    1. yeah I agree at least Montana might do enough to just hang around with them plus Syracuse has to travel further east coast to west coast.

      Delete
  56. We have a finish coming boys!!! Go Southern!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm considering calling it a day and walking away with profit. I may miss out on Harvard, but I can't get a hard on like Rosica about Harvard sticking with UMass, UConn, Saint Mary’s & Memphis, and geting wins vs. Boston College and Cal.

I agree - if push came to shove, I'd take the points and Harvard. But New Mexico ain't losing this game, and it could very easily get away from Harvard if they start getting their shots smacked back in their faces the way St. Mary's did today. Then again, Memphis barely covered.

If I do go on Harvard, I'm going with 1%, not 3%. It's not THAT great a play, no matter what these shills are saying. Remember, there's a reason these clowns pick Late Start games and tout them like crazy. They get more sales. It revs people up all day long. My advice: Proceed with caution on Harvard.

    BOL to all!!!

    2. Well put Chevy. You've made me really think. I'm 3-0 (+3%). I'm going to make a 1% bet on New Mexico in order to drop my Harvard bet 2% thus insuring a winning day for me. I'm going to lay off the 76ers. I laid off both Marquette and Oklahoma St and it's saved me 2%. Sometimes it's the plays that you don't take that are just as important as the plays that you do take. Thanks Chevy!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm not fading Rosica, I just made my 3% bet on Harvard a 2% bet. I'm not giving up much juice to do it either.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Exactly. I'm certainly not saying to fade a hot handicapper like Rosica. But we talk about money management a lot here, and it's not good money management to have the last be of the day be twice as large as the early game that was a winner. By betting 3% on Harvard, you could end up being 1-1, but have a shitty money day.

Of course, everyone can do as they please, and I hope everyone wins. All I'm doing is pointing out that even Rosica, at the end of the day, is a schill for himself. And at tourney time, they inflate things to the hilt - good game or not. Something tells me that if this were December and not March, Harvard wouldn't be rating a 100 Dime or 80 Dime or whatever he's billing it as. That, and I just didn't think he made a compelling argument for rating the bet that high. He puts a lot of faith in the fact he's an ex-Vegas linesmaker. Something I highly doubt he is. There's one thing ALL these shills have in common - hot or cold - they lie to sell picks.

I don't want to rock the boat, but I just wanted to point out I'm not advocating fading the pick. I'm just advising caution on the money management side of it.

No matter what anyone's betting - I hope everyone wins - that's what we're here for. The great thing here is we are all coming from different points of view. I'm more conservative and tend to want to protect profits. Doesn't mean I'm right - it's just how I approach things.

All that said - Go Harvard and hope the Blog goes 2-0!

    ReplyDelete
  61. All that being said, I just threw a 1% bet on VCU because Akron has 2 players with the flu and they're missing their point guard and they're going against 40 minutes of hell.
