SUNDAY: Seahawks -4 at home, Good Morning! I Will Be Cleaning Out the Garage Today for the New Camaro, God Bless Brandon Lang!

Sorry guys, but we are now displaying advertisements because of  increased blog costs.

Question of the day:

Will Mr. Brandon Lang, the World's Greatest Living

Handicapper, make it a 0-9 paid pick run by losing his big

bet on the Houston Texans -11 over the Buffalo Bills?

Answer:

Of course not, it was an easy cover of one point, that is why

Mr. Lang is the World's Greatest Living Handicapper and

you are not!

GM Report

From Fabulous North Las Vegas, Nevada:
Filmed in the Old Sales Offices
Fade likes the Vikings, makes me giddy!
How the hell did he stumble on that Huskies pick Friday?
Fade's "Biggest Play of My Life Ever": Dallas +4
Be Sure To Buy the Hook
Final Score: Atlanta 19 Dallas 13
Fade: I will be going down to the dealership Monday, I hope you can give me a good deal on a red Camaro buddy!

Fade Adams on the hook, now I am really confused:

For Sunday night in the NFL, Fade likes the visiting Dallas Cowboys as the underdog against the Atlanta Falcons. At the time he released this selection, the Cowboys are +3' point dogs in Atlanta this Sunday night.

His comments on the hook, which I find more interesting than what he likes in this game:

Now if you happened to watch DeMarco's video report a couple of weeks ago, you know he and I have butted heads many, many times over the past 20 years regarding the value of buying the half point. He's a believer; I'm generally not. But for this game, I can see the rationale in doing so with Dallas. First, the Cowboys were getting +4 earlier on Saturday, but as I put above, it's now down to +3'. Second, back in week two, I had a double your wager 2000♦ play on the Bengals -7 against Cleveland and ended up with a push because the Browns got a late score with the backdoor. DeMarco and I will never fully see eye to eye on the merits of buying the hook, but in this particular game I'm buying it (up to +4) to protect the push just in case and it only costs -120 versus -110.

Now if you happen to get Dallas at +4 on your own, there's no need to buy the hook as your already protected. I don't think the line goes down to 3. Even if it did, you're protected automatically for a push at 3 in a game decided by a field goal. At 3 1/2 is the only number I'm recommending you buy up the 1/2 point on Dallas.

Hard to find the spot the 7-0 Falcons stumble, but tonight could very well be the night. Let's face it, at 3-4 straight up the Cowboys have been a disappointment this season. There is plenty of talent on this team, and they are capable of playing with anyone - just as the Super Bowl winning Giants who saw a 23-0 lead evaporate last weekend before hanging on for the 29-24 win.

No doubt the 7-0 straight up mark, and the 5-2 spread mark Mike Smith's team totes in to the Georgia Dome bears some respect, but the Falcons wins have come against some pretty crappy teams - Chiefs, Panthers, Raiders to name a few. It is a bit of a step-up here for Atlanta, and this is precisely the type of game that has given the Falcons problems in the past.

Atlanta's 3 home wins have all been nip-and-tuck battles, 27-21 escape versus Denver, 30-28 last minute win over Carolina, and a 23-20 escape versus Oakland. The Falcons do have a division rivalry game up next in New Orleans, so any lack of focus against the underachieving Pokes could put their perfect season in jeopardy.

I am counting on it.

Who gives a shit about this crappy game, if you are going to bet a crappy game fade Lang on his Houston -11 bet, take the Buffalo Bills but I have no money on that game. My only bet today is on the Seahawks.

Can some one post this over the Buy Now button on Lang's site:

Mr. Lang is now on an 0-8 run for a total loss of 637.5 dimes.

Oregon State Beavers are still overlooked, their season is absolutely magical this year, I will just be taking them every Saturday, call me a Beaver Believer but they have been covering for me.

Please, I beg you: Don't tell Fade Adams about this blog!

  1. Good luck Rick! Been busy for 2 days. Got in yesterday play though. I'm going to start a fund of 10k and bet 5% to win instead of risking.

Hopefully ill catch your fund lol....

Thanks! I put a boatload on the Lang fade yesterday. He delivered! I load up on a game once a year, but I would not tell anybody else to do it but that 'Bama/LSU game was perfect to get action on. The Prius got wrecked, so I needed some new wheels. Sometimes you got to surround and pound, and Lang is the go to guy for that.

5% is a good number. Fade likes the Vikings, so I feel even better about this game. But this is a pick from the gut, not like my Oregon State Beaver picks. The newsletters were all over Arizona State, those newsletters are worthless in my opinion.

    Best to you Shaneel!

Not sure who Lang has today. My wife Ginger wants me to buy the play. She wants a new camaro now too. I told her: "Honey, we only step out big once a year and I was not the one that totaled the Prius!"

If anyone following my plays loses money, I don't want it to be by money management or because they listened to someone hyping a play. I think you think the same way from what I have seen in your comments.

Looking at Mr. Lang's website, I think they have mixed up handicappers somehow. I don't see any reference to his 0-8 run or losing 637.5 dimes. That is alot of dimes, even for me. Must be a mix up at the site or they are letting Lang update it himself. They should put his current run right above the Buy button.

Thanks for not posting anything negative about Mr. Budin. I know you are itching for an expose article. But Bishop Joe likes him here cause the Lang Fade has helped with church renovations.

By the way, I am not a friend of Matt Rivers, but I do see him occasionally at family get togethers.

Good luck to you today, did you win anything yesterday?

I love that new car smell.

I used to check all the 'cappers and read all the news letters. I will tell you its mostly a wasted effort. I just get the overall feeling they are clueless with half on one side and half on the other. Its best to follow just a few teams and know them really really well. They were giving Coach Riley shit in the newsletters, but after the game he got a standing ovation at the press conference. It was like a party...I never seen that before. OSU is the real deal so I will just play them every Saturday.

Hey who do you like today. I am always interested in your plays.

Yeah but the money was flowing yesterday. Hit 'em under the radar. I can't use a big fund on here or a big percentage cause its hard to move big money in college basketball, especially in the Horizon League.

  8. Rick,
Nothing jumps out at me. Sniffing around tells me the CEO and BL are on Texans. I like Seahawks too. That was the only one that jumped out at me. Maybe Falcons too considering everyone on Cowgirls.

PS--stll post all plays but u dont need to place a wager amt

Saved by the bell, lol. That game is off so its an early game whatever the Langster had.

By the way Ginger and I drove by the DeMarco estate earlier today on our way to breakfast and they had police dogs sniffing around on the polo fields and they were going into DeMarco's private hunting reserve. I wonder who they are looking for?

Good luck today, I am going down to the basement. I don't use a remote as I got 104 big screen televisions on down there.

Thanks for the input. I deleted my dollar amount from the headings on top as I got a detailed money management section anyways. I like a site where someone can get the play in 2 seconds or less, with a picture of the team so there is no chance of getting on the wrong side.

I think I will extend that to the guest cappers as their dime amounts are confusing anyways. One guys 15 dimes could be worth more than one guys 1,000 stars or whatever.

Appreciate the input, have fun relaxing a bit and watching the games.

  11. And i thought i had alot of tv's at 103...

Is the Demarco estate really the bunny ranch, otherwise portrayed at the cathouse?

If i could post pix, there would be a bunny and cat watching TV

  12. Money was flowing as in on the other side?

But yeah would be great if you post the plays u plays... Or just use this fund for ur plays so we can buy a car too lol

Also if your saying betting big % is hard in college basketball maybe you should start the fund with 10k and Bet 6%.... Almost same you know

    ReplyDelete
  13. Shaneel

No, I meant that they would take your action on either side in that 'Bama/LSU game because there was a lot of money bet on it as opposed to say a basketball game between the Manhattan Jaspers and Yale.

I hardly ever make a big bet like that, like once every two years unless its in the context of a money management system where its just a slice of a bigger bankroll.

I am using $50,000 cause that is just some profits from the December to Remember so 3% seems appropriate and conservative. The bigger the bankroll the more conservative you should be because you have a bigger bankroll to lose.

If you have a bankroll of $10,000, its not like you are going to lose your house and live savings and 401K. So why not step up your bets with a small fund using 5% or even higher.

Your money management philosophy is much more important than your gambling philosophy. There are intangibles that if you tap into them, you get ahead of the crowd and can make money.

I am always looking for that streak that will rise me above the crowd.

    Good luck to you!

The other thing is that by being conservative with a big fund, you can actually just keep most of it in the bank, unless you get on a terrible awful downturn. With a $50,000 bankroll, you really just need $5,000 cash in hand and keep the rest in the bank. You may never have to go to the bank but its there and included in your calculations as to what your bankroll is.

Next time I am invited to the DeMarco estate, I will take pictures. The place is a cross between the Playboy Mansion and Carinhall.
