ReplyDeleteHondo 4/02/2013
Mrs. Niese’s lucky skivvies did the trick yesterday for the Mets, which helped enable Hondo, who also scored with the Sawx and Nats, to vault into the wonderful world of positive digits at 75 monbouquettes. Tonight, Mr. Aitch is whirling with Darvish in Houston 10 units on the Rangers to make the ’Stros look like the division doormats they’re supposed to be.
Gm! Yesterday was just plain awful. I think that I'm going to go back to 1%. I just put too much of my bankroll up yesterday.
ReplyDeleteGood morning!
ReplyDeleteYeah, was a disappointing day. Glad it is over slats!
Entry from John Kelly's blog today:
ReplyDeleteThirteen games from a 2,430-game Major League Baseball schedule are now complete.
If you're a baseball expert -- eating, sleeping and breathing every pitch of every game -- be sure to attack the April wagering menu with some of your strongest opinions and biggest wagers of the year.
In all sports, the betting marketplace is most vulnerable or unsettled in the first month of the season as oddsmakers and bettors alike take time to digest the offseason moves, price the value of every team and player, and make critical adjustments to last season's set of power ratings.
Las Vegas-based sports handicapper PalmTree attacked Opening Night of the MLB season with a pair of plays in the Rangers-Astros game at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
"Palmer" bet a full unit on Houston in the first five innings (+140) and a half-unit on under 4.5 runs in the first five innings (-115).
Here's what PalmTree wrote about the season's first game in an e-mail sent Sunday morning at 10:00 (seven full hours before first pitch, Birdie):
I like getting a nice price on Bud Norris at home. Norris is legit, especially in this ballpark. In 2012 he had one of the most extreme home/away splits I’ve ever seen from a pitcher past his first or second year. Norris threw 74 innings in this park last year to a 1.7 ERA, a WHIP under 1 and an 82/17 K/BB split. I watched him throw last week and he looked good to me. A certain “PLAY ON” in this spot at this price. I expect a solid start from Norris, but want to take the bullpens out of it, thus sacrificing a nickel on the price to make this wager about the starters.
The Astros, the newest member of the American League, won 9-2, after leading Texas 4-0 after five innings.
Winner winner.
Sports gambling, however, is not that easy.
PalmTree followed his Sunday night sweep with a Monday collar, going 0-for-4 with plays on underdogs San Francisco (+147), Kansas City (+123) and Philadelphia (+112) and an under bet (7.5 runs) at Citi Field.
Loser loser loser loser.
PalmTree will join yours truly and David Glisan on tonight's edition of The EOG Sports Hour, a one-hour radio program dedicated to the hearts and minds of sports bettors everywhere.
EOG contributor Brock Landers will visit our radio program Wednesday night with a review of his 10-day European vacation, complete with a review of the sports betting landscape in London, England and a preview of his summer plans here at the "G."
Baseball fantasy player and former PBA Tour member Tomorrow's Newspaper will make his EOG radio debut on Thursday night followed by a Friday night report, live from Atlanta, courtesy of Florida Basketball Hall-of-Fame high school coach Charlie Funk (697 career victories), who is making his 37th consecutive trip to the Final Four.
I also plan to reach out to college hoop handicapper Ron Boyles for his take on Saturday's national semifinal games featuring Louisville and Wichita State in the early game (6:09 p.m. Eastern) and Michigan and Syracuse in the nitecap (8:49 p.m.).
Good Morning guys! hope you had a better start than my 3hr torture/meeting with my company's owner!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Patrick! Ouch!
ReplyDeleteChecking in here and a little confused.
ReplyDeleteWe always talk about money management. (I understand we are playing with profits in this fund). However....
Did it really make sense to make Shit's play 2% ??? It was no stronger than any other of his plays that he has suggested.
Just seems like we are chasing a bit....
Thoughts???
---- TRUCK
TRUCK:
DeleteThat was my fault. Should of went 1%. In the back of my mind I was thinking of following Lang's plays for 2% and that got mixed up with Shit's play.
In the future Hondo and Shit plays will be 1% of the bankroll, but I do want to step out with Brandon Lang's plays....following him for 2% as he has been hot of late.
Deleteafter the 0-3 start i did not play Shits play & to be honest i did not even realize it was for 2% i have been playing only 1/2 % until the tide turns for us
DeleteAtkins has Maryland +3 1/2
ReplyDeleteThe other thing is Charlotte has been a winner for us in the past. Surprised how big a loss they had in Milwaukee. It was just a bad day Monday but today should be better.
ReplyDeleteGo Astros and Hawkeyes!
Looking forward to see what Lang has.
Rick, someone else that may help us out in baseball is baseball crusher. He went 100-74 (57%) last year and is off to a 2-0 regular season start this year. Today he is on the Giants.
ReplyDeleteLets take that for 1%
DeleteI am also thinking of taking Rosica's 50 dime play on BYU for 2% of the bankroll.
Chances are that Lang is on BYU as well.
DeleteDid you notice that our friend Paul Bearer also went 0-2 yesterday? Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
ReplyDeleteYep, he has been too busy trying to **** with us.
DeleteSo far I'm on:
ReplyDeleteGiants +102 (1%)
BYU +3 (2%)
Waiting on Astros & Iowa for better lines.
Iowa -3 (1%)
DeleteAstros +161 (1%)
DeleteMavs/Lakers under 207 (1%)
DeleteWade Chalmers and LeBron all out tonight vs the Knicks in Miami. Tried to go take the Knicks when the Heat were still favored but it looked like my bookie was faster to the news than I was lol
ReplyDelete-Danny
Looks like Miami is still favored by 2 offshore.
DeleteReally?? That kind of shocks me. I mean I get that they beat the Spurs without those 3 but Melo and JR Smith with how hot they've been? Should be an interesting game to say the least
Delete-Danny
I wonder where Shit is...wonder if he likes anything today?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like him and Gator had another late night talk show lol
Delete-Danny
He must be sleeping lol
DeleteIndian Cowboy:
ReplyDeleteNBA 6* #762. Take Washington -1.5 over Chicago Bulls (Tuesday @ 7:05pm est)
MLB 3* #964. Take Oakland A's -140 over Seattle Mariners (Tuesday @ 10:05pm est)
College Ball 4* #768. Take BYU +3 over Baylor (Tuesday @ 7pm est)
NHL 4* #63. Take Los Angeles Kings -135 over Phoenix Coyotoes (Tuesday @ 10:05pm est)
damn he is on BYU? hope he doesn't jinx us....
DeleteAfter sucking for months he is 6-1 the last 2 days when I decide to fade him.
DeleteHey guys. get to work all day lol. yea shit and I did our nightly show. we need a guest tonite lol
ReplyDeleteafternoon everyone,
ReplyDeletemy shit special of the day is not on a team but on a total (change things up a bit). I love this 207 Under on the Lakers v. Mavs. I think this game is gonna be a playoff intensity type game as the loser will be knocked out for the last playoff seed. All 3 games this season has all gone under 204. So I feel this game will be a 99-96 type game. BOL
Thanks Shit!
DeleteThanks shit, I'm back on board with you and guys.
ReplyDeletemorning gator, ur tb/bal under 7 is looking good so far.
ReplyDeleteShit.. chi/wash have gone under 11 straight times against each other...
ReplyDeletewhat scares me about that is public is on the under as well but it climbed a half a point?
Deletesome reason everyone is taking wash today....
I wonder what Atkins is going to do next week when his only client is gone.
ReplyDeleteGod Damit McGhee
ReplyDeleteI took the Under 3.5 for the 1st 5 and then -111 for Baltimore having the highest scoring inning after their 2 run 1st. Liking that more and more after their 7th inning lol
ReplyDelete-Danny
0-2 count 2 outs. what a joke
ReplyDeletedamn bad break gator
DeleteWhy the.hell did madden leave McGhee in against Jones. put in a damn rhp!
Deleteguess he is still on vacation mode.
Deletewe should have pounced on that tenn/Louisville womens basketball tenn was -2.5 now it is up to -4.5
Lol. yea I'm over the rays now. yea we should have last nite haha
DeleteShit.. r u takin Houston?
ReplyDeletethought u liked texas though? hmmm might lay off.
DeleteI do like the brew crew today...
I do like brewers also. I'm not playing Texas or houston. don't live it enough. MLB maybe add a little on over Ariz parlayed with brewers
ReplyDeleteI like that parlay....might borrow it. lol maybe add ur ryu and the dodgers too.
DeleteI wanted to parlay tex with tb. glad I didn't lol
ReplyDeleteLang is on Maryland, same as Atkins
ReplyDeleteBlog is on san Fran but no one has faced ryu and I like lefties first start
ReplyDeleteCan't do brew crew alone. To much juice
ReplyDeleteShit.. if heat become dogs.. I'm betting them
ReplyDeleteLakers und 207 for 1%
ReplyDeleteThats all for me had busy day hard to concentrate
Thanks Shit!

DeleteTime to fade the injury line movement. will take heat 1st half and game
ReplyDeletegasp! should we take the fakers too then? nash is out but line increased? go figure.
Deleteheard chandler is now playing for the knicks this game is hard to handicap with people coming in and people sitting out. stay away from me.
Deletefuck me, damn byu cougars falling apart....
ReplyDeleteShit.. heat 1h money!!
ReplyDeleteI saw that it's miller time! where the fuck has this guy been? u doing any plays for the 2nd half?
Deletewish I would have jumped on that 1H play.
u also got that wash/chi under did u play that?
DeleteI took a lil' 2nd half action on ECU +8.5 looked good the 1st half.
DeleteYea I took that under for real small. I got heat +3 for game
Deletegator g. mason -1 tomorrow do we just do moneyline then? maybe 1H play also?
ReplyDeletegot a great play tomorrow Detroit +7.5 over the tanking Celtics.
i'll jump in on the heat/knicks under 2H then
ReplyDeleteDo the heat have to win with the 2nd half number?
Deleteyes they are up by 8 and u just add the 5.5 so 13.5 or win and u win.
DeleteMiami still got a secret weapon joel Anthony and juwan howard. lol
Deletemelo is trying to do it all by his self not going to end well.
Love Detroit tomm. what's the heat line?
ReplyDeleteI took heat +5.5 2nd half, heat 22.5 O 3rd qtr, and moneyline +165 for heat 3rd qtr and the under 96.5 2nd half
DeleteBusy at work didn't see heat 2nd half line.. 12 he shifts suck haha
DeleteThe way things are going, only seems right that we'd bet against a perfect game.
ReplyDeleteJust turned on radio. sound like yu is lights out
ReplyDeleteIs ryu yelling hadouken when he pitches lol
ReplyDeletedamn 12 hour shifts? must be an easy job though since u get to be on the 'net betting games *lol*
ReplyDeleteMiami fell apart in the 2nd half oh well back to the drawing board.
got a feeling fakers are gonna roll. at home, league wants fakers in the playoffs so refs will help them out, retiring shaq's number tonight, etc.
Actually I am a pharmacist lol. store is slow today lol. heat did fall apart. I split on it. not a 0fer but day not going well
ReplyDeletetexas looks like they rolled up Houston.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going in on the under 1H for fakers game as well and maybe 1qtr.
ReplyDeleteWow. melo dropped half a hundred
ReplyDeleteGlad I laid off. yu will have a big year imo
ReplyDeleteguess we just back him every time he pitches.
DeleteSince when did Cahill and Garcia become studs??
ReplyDeleteI hope yu gets it!
ReplyDeletedamn brew crew are stinking it up and that over is not likely in the az/stl game....
ReplyDeleteUnder 53.5 1st Qtr in the Lakers game CASH it!
ReplyDeleteNice one shit! Baseball sucking today lol
ReplyDeleteI may lay off this week or just do one baseball play for me and just see who is doing what.
Deletegator u took any action on Maryland? they are hanging around....
DeleteNothing in cbb for me
DeleteLady vols lost!
Deletedid u put in for the g. mason tomorrow? what percentage?
DeleteI am locking my games today especially pistons before it drops. lol
the day I took rosica and lang they go 0-2 today go figure...
ReplyDeleteG mason 2% will lock in pist for 1
ReplyDeleteu taking moneyline or the spread? u doing 1H as well? hope ur friend knows what he is talking about. lol
DeleteI'm not tailing touts. ur plays r good and u don't charge lol
ReplyDeleteurs r good too! yeah we can figure this shit out ourselves.
DeleteJust go 1% if ur more comfortable . I love the play. will do ml and maybe 1h
ReplyDeletewow u can get mavs +8 now tempting...what u think?
ReplyDeleteI took the under 2nd qtr as well. *lol* I am gonna beat this horse to death tonight
Do u want me to post everything I play... I did 2 other baseball games lol
ReplyDeletebeat it to death. kill the book. I. dunno not watching it about +8
ReplyDeleteNeed a kubel hr
ReplyDeleteF**k
ReplyDeleteHeath Bell lol
ReplyDeletesure give me ur basbeball picks too!
ReplyDeleteI am making my money back today just betting the under in this lakers game every qtr. lol
damn mavs are getting KILLED! glad I stayed away from them after I found out they were retiring shaq's number...
DeleteI'll post what I'm playing and if u like em bet em lol
Deleteaz/stl over seems like a shot now c'mon 2 more runs or more!
ReplyDeleteis it too late for Arizona to rescind the heath bell trade? that's why they will suck again this year...
ReplyDeleteSt Louis had two men on with one out in the seventh inning and got nothing
ReplyDeleteI take that back they got 3 runs but I wanted more
ReplyDeleteI made a play in the women's games and took the Irish -7. It was a nice win but I'd appreciate broadcasters never saying if a team is good at ft's ever again, stupid jinxes.
ReplyDeleteI got the under in the fakers game at 201. Did a live bet and the odds were shit until it dropped to 201
-Danny
I bet each qtr under and 1H under so far 3-0 on one game. made my money back just on that. going for the 4th qtr under if it is 50.5 or more. lol
Deletegator and I was thinking about taking Tennessee womens but we didn't have ur expertise.
well they caught on now they are doing the whole game at 183.5 still 50.5 for the 4th basically.
DeleteHaha well it's a good thing you guys laid off Tennessee since they lost outright. I'm no expertise in women's ball but ill take 3-2 in the women's tourney this year lol
DeleteWell lets hope they keep shooting up bricks and this game doesn't get close
-Danny
well if u got any tips for future womens basketball games let us know danny. 3-2 I will take that any day.
Deletegator what happened to ur baseball picks for tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteyeah I guess everyone has a bad day the season is early we can still turn things around....
ReplyDeleteShit. Gonna work on MLB when I get home from work. leaning tex rl and royals right now
ReplyDeleteBaseball is a long grind. will be bad days for sure haha
ReplyDeletegood thing we r putting 1/8% for this week to get a hold on things first.
DeleteThis fakers game looks over
ReplyDelete-Danny
I just put in another under 184.5 on a live bet. *lol*
Deleteyeah dallas looks worn out (probably from the bulls game)
I still like the jazz to get that last spot though.
Only live bets I've got is 4q ML and a game spread of 8.5
Delete-Danny
And by got I mean ones I can still make
Delete-Danny
Please tell me you lucked out and hit the under for the 4th quarter Shit
ReplyDelete-Danny
I got it good thing meeks missed that last 3. final score was 182 I had 184.5. whew.
DeleteI went 7-0 just on betting the unders in that game. 1st qtr, 2nd qtr, 1H, 2H, 3rd qtr, and under 184.5 in the 4th qtr and the whole game under 207.
Deleteshit u owned that under lol
DeleteHahaha niiiiiice. You should thank Dwight Howard lol
Delete-Danny
no I should thank bearded dirk he missed 3/4 free throws too!
Deletehaha that too. It's weird, like 3-4 years ago Kobe and Dirk used to be lights out from the FT line. Now, not so much
Delete-Danny
I give it to age. getting older and not as sharp as they used to be.
DeleteShit.. right now looking for tomm pit -1 reds-1 royals and tex.rl. will delve in more tonite
ReplyDeleteI still have to figure out how to do the -1. will definitely look into these games though.
DeleteUnder 8.5 in the Rangers/Astros game looks nice right now. Day game following a night game
Delete-Danny
good catch danny! maybe a rangers and under 8.5 bet together?
DeleteYa, parlay would be the only way since the ML for Rangers is -181, at least that's what i've got right now
Delete-Danny
gator said to put in on the g. mason moneyline he said his friend loves this game.
Deletewe also like Detroit +7.5 against celts. celts are tanking and Detroit is 2-0 in april with Drummond back go figure.
hey gator our game of the month is coming up on Thursday. The Rematch San Antonio v. OKC. OKC is gonna go ape shit and blow SA out. lol
ReplyDeletewhich game?
ReplyDeletebtw Michigan is down to -2 hope it gets to -1 I am gonna pounce on it and bet the over 131.
ReplyDeleteleaning towards the under in the Louisville game
if u like okc ill play it...
ReplyDeleteI got to wait until the line comes out as long as its not over -2.5, I also like the under too.
Deleteu see phx is +16 against clips. damn!
i am def locking in reds and pit -1 for tomorrow.
ReplyDeletealright so no go on the royals?
Deleteshit during our nightly rant tonite ill type out the -1 line. just got home and goin to eat dinner at 1115 lol. be back soon
ReplyDeletethat's fine u r allowed ur break once in awhile. lol
DeleteI am gonna research tomorrows nba games.
I'm gonna go grab some food too and then I'll be the guest on the Shit and Gator show tonight lol
Delete-Danny
I like Utah tomorrow against the Nuggets. I think they are the desperate team. Plus no Lawson for nuggets only miller to play pg and scrubs. will probably bet this one.
ReplyDeleteI also like Minnesota against Milwaukee they have been playing good ball lately. not sure if I am gonna bet this one though.
As painful as this is to say being a Giants fan from the bay area, I like the Dodgers tomorrow. Lincecum has just been god awful and hasn't shown any sort of change during the spring. I can see that pricey dodger lineup going crazy tomorrow night
ReplyDelete-Danny
ok shit. done with my dinner that had zero taste... i like way to many games tomorrow. i have turned into a degenerate. I am gonna bet soccer with mlb to reduce some juice. from the soccer i watch... real madrid is like -500 favorite over Galatasaray. add ing that to a parlay would help
ReplyDeleteThat should be the safe bet, or you could go Dortmund over Malaga if its cheaper for you. Madrid and Dortmund should have no problem winning tomorrow.
Delete-Danny
danny.. if anything i like over 6.5 there.. like u said timmy and beckett can both be lit up.
ReplyDeleteya, the over 6.5 looks better than the ML bet, not by much but still better
Delete-Danny
I will list everything I like tomorrow but there is no way i can play all of this.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are:
1.Washington/Blue Jays ML parlay gio/morrow
2. Reds latos
3. Pirates wandy
4. braves mahalom
5. Probably royals.
i agree dortmund should not have any problems either. i think parlaying something like that with an mlb game with -140-150 juice can help bring it down substantially
ReplyDeleteLeans: D-backs, mets, a's, rays, chi/royals over, dogers over, and tampa under.. like i said i am not going to play all of there way to many... might do the first five for 1/8% each and forget about all these leans lol
ReplyDeletedanny.. do u know how to do a -1 line.. here in vegas they dont offer it so i calculate how to do it. i hope shit didnt go to sleep lol
ReplyDeleteNah I don't
Delete-Danny
haha I have a feeling I'm going to be betting a lot on the braves and that lineup this year. Though against Doc Halladay I might wait and see how he starts off the season if he's gonna return to his old self or continue to decline
ReplyDelete-Danny
damn I need to learn from you two on baseball. yeah braves got a steal in getting justin upton our gm is stupid giving him away for pennies on a dollar.
Deletei love maholm, i think hes great and i see some regression again form halladay
ReplyDeletedanny do u live in vegas or elsewhere
ReplyDeleteelsewhere. Bay Area, CA
Delete-Danny
-1 is a very helpful way to avoid high juice by combining the ml and rl. really helps when taking home favorite b/c i hate losing by 1 going into bottom 9 with a 1 run lead
ReplyDeletegator why don't u do a mega parlay on all the games moneyline and see what happens. lol
DeleteMakes sense. I hate losing because of the half
Delete-Danny
speaking of soccer though..i think Galatasaray gets a goal
ReplyDeletewhat book do u use.
ReplyDeleteI got hooked up with a bookie through a friend of a friend
Delete-Danny
now soccer? I am way out of my league on soccer.
ReplyDeleteshit.. i think i will put all that grabage in a 2 dollar parlay and see if it pays me like 1 grand lol
ReplyDeletethen u probably will take a week off!
Deleteyeah had to feed the baby and change her diaper. then make her go to sleep (in other words give it to the wife) lol
ReplyDeleteI think Galatasaray scores, but not before Madrid gets a couple. But then again if Madrid play like they've played in La Liga all year, they'll let the Turks score 1st and then win 2-1
ReplyDelete-Danny
maybe do a parlay on Madrid and Dortmund.
DeleteThat probably wouldnt be that good of a payout unless you pick Dortmund in the 3 way ML since Madrid is -600 for me in the 3 way ML
Deleteshit.. i was suggesting adding real madrid to some of these baseball plays b/c as -500 i dont see them losing to Galatasaray, they are just awful. would bring -140 down to almost even
ReplyDeletedanny i agree.. im gonna throw madrid in with a few of these baseball plays and pray to god they dont suck up the joint. then i wont have to do -1 lines
ReplyDeletegood idea we better pick maybe the top 3 games then. maybe do a 3 sport parlay. throw in ur George mason....
Deletemy wife is big on breastfeed milk only she got a truckload of milk in the freezer and is big on organic foods. got the baby bullet and makes all kinds of baby foods on the weekend.
ReplyDeleteim afraid to do dortmund and real b/c watch 1 of them lose. seems to easy
ReplyDeletenice.. enfamil is so damn expensive.. thankfully were are done with that
ReplyDeletedo u guys want me to type the -1 line thing here or email it to u both...
ReplyDeleteya it's pretty amazing how the best teams by far in soccer don't always win. Madrid and Dortmund have so much fucking talent though if they both don't win, I'll be shocked
ReplyDelete-Danny
i swear to god if mason loses tomm i am gonna be pissed. everyone knows that damn tournament is fixed. my friend is gonna get an earful if they lose and im gonna make him buy me a steak at emerils in the Venetian if it loses lol
ReplyDeleteask for the $5 shit steak at the ellis island. lol
Deleteshe said something about formula doesn't have all the vitamins as a breast milk and b.m. gives the baby less chance of getting sick? not sure if those are facts or opinion.
ReplyDeletebarca gave up 2 goals to psg today.. the last 1 was inexcuasable
ReplyDeleteshit.. breastmilk is so much better for the child. my kids just didnt like it lol
ReplyDeleteYa, I watched that game and loved every minute of it, well except when Barca took the lead. Hate Barca and their idiot fans that think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread
ReplyDelete-Danny
i havent been to ellis island but ive heard it awesome for the price haha
ReplyDeletemost people dont like soccer.. i love it
ReplyDeletethey really do have idiot fans. obnoxious
ReplyDeleteyeah if u like ur steak tough as a ironing board.
ReplyDelete
