Winner, FINAL SCORE: Wichita State 69 Bradley 49, profit of $989.09
Chevycola's analysis:One game tonight. I like Wichita State -11,5 vs Bradley. Last time out (at home) Wichita destroyed them by 22. Wichita St is also 9-1 as a road favorite ATS. Bradley can't stay with them, and I don't see this as the day the Shockers get shocked. Small bet on Wichita State.

I am sticking with Cleveland State tonight, flu or no flu.
Cleveland State's Sebastian Douglas is one of three players
who are game time decisions vs. Youngstown State due to illness.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland State has a huge game tonight in the
Wolstein Center against Youngstown State and typical of the season, it
arrives with its share of drama.
The Vikings (19-10, 10-4) face a Youngstown State (15-14, 6-8) team that defeated CSU earlier this season, 67-66, and would like nothing better than a sweep. CSU needs the victory to maintain it's No. 2 status in the Horizon League, which earns a bye to the semifinals of the upcoming HL Tournament.
But the Vikings, who have struggled with injury and illness much of the conference season, again will not be at 100 percent. Head coach Gary Waters said Monday that three players -- Anton Grady, Charlie Lee and Sebastian Douglas -- were all suffering from the same stomach flu illness that hospitalized leading scorer Bryn Forbes prior to the recent home game with Green Bay.
The availability of these players will be a game-time decision. Even if able to play, one or all could be at less than 100 percent. Grady is the Vikings starting center, Lee its starting point guard and Douglas its top guard off the bench.
All three have already missed games this season. Grady was sidelined two games with a concussion; Douglas has missed five games with a concussion, and Lee has missed three games with a knee injury. The loss of Forbes (one game) came in arguably the biggest game of the season, a 68-54 setback to Green Bay that erased any reasonable chance the Vikings had at winning the HL title.
With Lee and Douglas at less than 100 percent, if able to plat at all, holding down YSU guard Kendrick Perry will be a major challenge. The 6-1 senior is averaging 20.7 points a game shooting 49.9 percent from the field.
In the earlier triumph over CSU, Perry scored 31 points, including YSU's final 12 points and a driving layup and free throw for the game-winner. Should CSU get past the Penguins, locking up that No. 2 spot will come down to its Saturday game at Valparaiso, which has now been moved to a 4 p.m. start and will be televised on STO.

ReplyDeleteThanks Chevycola!
DeleteNice call Chevy! Thanks for the pick.
DeleteStay away from my NBA and NHL right now. Posted on R/X. If anything it might be worth a fade. lol. If I start to heat up with those, I'll let ya know. But NHL seems like such a crap shoot. Next year I won't be betting or posting picks for NHL. Looking to be a 1 year venture for me. Just too damn hard to handicap. So many OT games - and how can you handicap effectively when most games are decided by shots off a post?
ReplyDeleteXavier +6
ReplyDeleteSt.Joe's -3.5
