  1. Another win for me on Pepperdine last night. At one point, I was down in NCAA Hoops 38-44 and a .463%. Since then I've been 30-16 and .652%. This is typically how I go (and how most gamblers should go). Your worst picks logically should be at the begining of the season. So many unknowns and the teams have new chemistry. Only so much from the previous season can be taken forward into the next. The back half gives you plenty of data to look at, and then this should be a Moneyball type of business. So I go where the numbers and trends take me - and let those things help me to throw games out. Then pick from what's left.

Now, I'm not saying "Bet the house on my picks!!". Because if I was such hot shit I'd be selling them. But I finished near the top on the R/X for MLB (didn't start posting until September and still finished high), NFL, NCAAF, and I think I'll be near the top at the end of NCAABB. Fade me on NHL - by far the toughest thing I've ever tried to handicap. NBA is coming along - but that's another sport I hate because it's tough to handicap those lazy guys who phone it in for 80% of the games in the regular season.

Again - right now just take a look at my picks. If I have time I'll try and do a little write up to state why I'm on them (it's usually going to be because of ATS info). I just find numbers don't lie. Take a look - and if you think it makes sense - follow - or fade me. But right now I don't see anyone calling NCAA at a 65% clip. That said, I'll probably start to shit the bed. lol.

Good luck all! And I don't mean to toot my own horn, just want to let you guys know when I'm hot. And cold for that matter - so stay far away from my NHL picks - maybe even fade them.

    1. Chevycola: I want to follow your NCAA basketball picks through March. The blog went comfortably 2-0 yesterday on Pointwise Key Selections and I think with them and your picks we can make some money. Thanks for your writeup. You got our attention!

  2. There are no Pointwise Key Selections today.

  3. After all that, I took a good look at tonight's very light NCAA schedule, and don't like anything. I'll have some picks for tomorrow for sure.

    GL all! Maybe fade Lang?

    1. Chevy:

You might want to take a look at Louisville over Cinci as a revenge play tomorrow. I see nothing I like tonight either. Might as well fade Lang tonight.

I have been thinking about this Lang Fade after Lang was on a pretty obscure matchup with the Fighting Sioux and the Hornets yesterday. I bet its hard for some folks to put any kind of real money on a game like that. I personally prefer the marquee matchups for the blog plays.

Lang was down more than 1,000 dimes on the year earlier and has came back some. Last year he had a big dime run and was actually up 800 dimes, but of course gave it all back and ended up down 1,000 dimes on the year. After following Lang for all these years, my gut is telling me Lang could go on a run here. I am thinking about not fading Lang anymore through the end of March and instead just going with your picks and the Pointwise Key Selections. I will still post the Lang plays if they are available in the comment section. Over the years I have learned to listen to my gut.

But I still plan to Fade Lang today if we can get the pick. But we got plenty of other plays without fading him going forward.

    1. Good morning Patrick! Lang was down more than 1,000 dimes earlier this year. He is now down 927.5 dimes after yesterday. I think I will follow your strategy. The blog will continue to fade Lang at 2% of the bankroll per play. If he goes below 800 dimes YTD in the next two weeks the blog will get off the Lang Fade. Anybody can get on a run including Lang and he has done it in the past.

    3. Yep, kind of like market timing. There is a time to Fade and a time to just watch from the sidelines ready to jump back in!

  5. I just found Pointwise. I mentioned Louisville earlier over Cinci as a revenge pick and its good to see they have Louisville as a top pick. Here is the Pointwise Key Selections for the next seven days:

LOUISVILLE over Cincinnati (Sat) RATING: 1
WEST VIRGINIA over Baylor (Sat) RATING: 2
FRESNO STATE over Boise St (Wed) RATING: 2
UCLA over Oregon (Thurs) RATING: 3
CLEVELAND over Youngstown (Tues) RATING: 3
NOTRE DAME over Virginia (Sat) RATING: 4
KANSAS over Texas (Sat) RATING: 4
NO CAROLINA ST over Va Tech (Sat) RATING: 5
PURDUE over Michigan (Wed) RATING: 5

I will go ahead and post Pointwise and the latest Gold Sheet above in the Newsletter Section. Pointwise did pretty good on their NBA Best Bets last week too.
