FRIDAY: Won 100 Dimes on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights +1 as the Whole State of Iowa Gets Langed

Thank goodness, the Golden Goose has a straight bet on a game. If you go to any paid handicapping sites, the cappers will never post links to anybody else. I post links to useful sites. The links I have posted are what I use. The Indian Cowboy has went viral now at the SBR Sports Forum. The Brandon Lang Fade also has a daily thread there. Posters there are not allowed to post the handicappers units or dimes. Seems the mods there at the SBR Sports Forum are on the verge of banning the guy that posts IC's picks there, unreal. They have just moved the IC thread from the sports service section to the promotion section. Someone out there is pissed off. The poster that is about to be permanently banned has created an Indian Cowboy Daily Plays blog. I posted the link in my link section. UPDATE: The IC plays have now been removed form the SBR Forum. Someone is indeed pissed off. I don't think the sports books here or offshore want you to make money in the long-term. The odds are stacked against the bettor. From the dishonest touts to the sports forums that have advertisements for the offshore sports books: Screw em! Its war my kind readers and I think we are on the winning side!

I started up with the the Sports Monitor for handicapping contests that did not happen. So I post all the picks now in the Free Picks Section there before game time. But here is what I actually am betting on, usually just one pick a day I bet. But as we look at our results compared to other cappers its a vindication that the hottest thing going now and most successful (or it would not be viral) is the Lang Fade and the Indian Cowboy Follow.

I am confident in my money management system as it automatically reduces my bets per dime when I lose. I use Mr. Langs dime unit ratings when I fade him because he has a solid track record of losing the big plays. He does much better on his smaller dime plays than on his large dime plays. It sounds goofy as hell, but the man has lost over 6,000 dimes at his website. So as much as losing is gut wrenching, I am confident that my money management system will make me a winner over the long run.

ANALYSIS

Rolling the dice with the small chalk from the Midwest.

Been an interesting season for the Cyclones as they rolled out to a 3-0 start highlighted by their win at home over in-state rival Iowa 44-41 as a 6 1/2 point home dog.

Over their next 4 games they were flat out obliterated by Texas at home 37-14, at Baylor 49-26, at Missouri 52-17 and at home to Texas A&M 33-17.

Since that loss back on October 22nd, this Iowa State team has been a different beast across the board.

They rolled into Texas Tech and destroyed the Red Raiders 41-7 as a 15 1/2 point dog, beat Kansas at home by 3 and then pulled off the upset of the year at home beating then #2 Okie State 37-31 catching 26 1/2.

It was hard for them to get up off the deck at Oklahoma the very next week losing by 23 but still covering the 29 point number and then finished the year losing by 7 at Kansas State but grab the cash at the window catching +10.

This team has covered 5 of their last 6 games on the vegas board and I fully expect them to handle their business against a young Rutgers squad today.

Last time I checked I didn't see Rutgers beating a quality opponent like a #2 team in the nation and for that matter there isn't a team they played this year that would scare anybody.

The Big East is a very bad conference this year across the board and already Louisville was outclassed by NC State which also tells me how bad the Big East was this year.

Both of these teams went into Uconn and while Iowa State won outright 24-20 as a 4-point road dog, Rutgers flat out got blown out 40-22 as a 3 1/2 point favorite.

Now, I don't care what anybody says, you want to be playing your best ball as you end the year and head to your bowl game but getting destroyed by 18 points as a road favorite tells me Rutgers is not.

I love the offensive diversity of Iowa State, love their coach and love how they are playing right now.

In a near pickem game the team that wins will cover and I'm confident that team will be the team out of the Big 12, who just happens to be undefeated this bowl season with Missouri and Baylor already cashing winning tickets.

Rutgers is going to be a force in the next couple of years with this young kid Gary Nova at QB but on this field today the team from the Big 12 is just the better team.

The Cyclones roll in with all the momentum in the world and win this one by double digits.

FINAL SCORE: Rutgers Scarlet Knights 27 Iowa State Cyclones 13

ANALYSIS

You just don't go against this coach in bowl game.

In their last 7 bowl games under head coach Kirk Ferentz the Iowa Hawkeyes are 6-1 ATS including 5-1 ATS as a bowl underdog.

Now if you look at home banged up Oklahoma his across the board, especially on the offensive side with two of their best weapons out in Broyles and running back Whaley, they have struggled.

Allow me to put this in perspective for you: Against the 106th total defense in the country at Oklahoma State they scored 10 points. At home to the 99th total defense in Iowa State they struggled to score 26.

Now they face the 67th total defense in Iowa on a neutral field asking them to beat this team by at least 2 touchdowns. Are you serious?

Iowa is going to run the ball right down the Sooners throat. After all Oklahoma does give up close to 140 a game.

It's going to be a big day of Coker on the ground and even bigger day for this Iowa football team as they catch the Sooners in the ultimate bowl flat spot.

You can't tell me this Sooners bunch, who were picked by many to be in the BCS championship game to not only be playing in that game but a BCS bowl game as well.

Motivation is with the big underdog and we will let Bob Stoops and his Sooners implode once again in a bowl game that doesn't matter to all his blue chip all americans relegated to the Insight bowl in Arizona.

Good luck motivating these brothers for this one Bobby.

The better coach catching double digits on a neutral field with a big physical football team that is fundementally sound is the only way to go here.

This big dog packs a huge bite tonight in the Tempe.

FINAL SCORE: Oklahoma Sooners 31 Iowa Hawkees 14

  2. Gus: The heat is on. Don't tell your friends! Can you believe I allowed myself to get Langed on the U Dub yesterday, LOL? That was just about as bad betting on that Horizon League college basketball game. The one where the betting action looked fishy and the last minute of the game more fishy yet. Live and learn Gus. Gear up buddy, extra ammo is in the back.
