FRIDAY: Losing is Emotionally Draining

I am down 103 dimes this week. Although I have never had a losing week here on this blog I am way overdue for one. I could lose five weeks in a row. I remain committed to doing this blog till I have a losing week. I just feel rattled though. I just went to my sports monitor and they have me listed as the #1 handicapper on their home page. Talk about putting salt in the wound. If you look at the picks, they are basically IC's picks and the Golden Goose fade plays given out free there before game time. I want to apologize to IC for giving out his big pick yesterday a couple hours before it was released to his paying customers. That was the wrong thing to do. Losing close to ten grand is not funny, nothing is funny this morning. I feel like a total loser. But on the positive side, have I found a winning formula? Only if I can cash in on it. But now I feel sick. Gambling sucks.

It's ok bro. We can't win every 100 dimes game. You were like 4-0 on 100 domes. It's better you lost 100 dimes after taking your original br out or This loss wouldve been more like 30 grand! Lets bounce back! I've been a follower for sometime now. Your doing great work! Please don't stop if you have a losing week!

Btw I'm in Atlanta ga following your picks!!! Hopefully I'll make enough to come to Vegas and place those large bets line you do!!!

Shaneel Thanks for your comment. Surprised someone from Atlanta is following me. You hear about the big bets here in Vegas but its not really like that with sports. To move big money, you have to pick a game everyone is betting on heavily and hopefully on the other side of the public so you get a good number. Hey you made me feel a little better. Thanks for that. Now I know 3 people read this. Much appreciated!

So you like to bet the opposite side the public is on? What % do you look for? Like If 65% of the public is team a you bet team b.

Also which site do you think Is helpful to find out on who the public is betting?

Keep your head up sir your doing great work here and cant win every game. I think the way that one ended makes it particularly harder to swallow but that's why we love doing this thing. Good luck this weekend.

This is an informational blog for Nevada residents only. Please feel free to make comments. If you think I am full of it, tell me! I hope this blog is helpful and entertaining and even possibly profitable to you. I will never tell you to bet a hockey game! Can I tell you the secret to sports betting in two words? Money management. One thing I know for sure, you are here and you are reading this. You are a winner!

My rules for sports betting:

As you win, your bets per dime should go up. As you lose, your bets per dime will go down. This automatically adjusts for runs or streaks. You should bet more when you are winning and bet less when you are losing. This rule does not apply to Labby Lines.

ALWAYS get the best line. Shop Around. Get up early. Have multiple outs. This is critical to long-term success, you have to do the work. Never play at a sports book which is known for not paying winners, make sure your sports book is not on the Black List. For grading purposes, we will grade all plays as what is most available to players. So don't be surprised if I change the line during the day for grading purposes, IF the line goes against me.

Use 1,000 dimes. Have the biggest bankroll you can put together. Most of the money you can just keep in the bank. But it has to be there to withstand any severe downturn. This is money you can afford to lose.

Never pay for a pick or bet based on what a paid tout says. You know I am giving you my best opinion, because I am not selling you anything! Help your hungry neighbor if you want to give money to someone. You need to have a filtering process to beat the vig. You got to win more than you lose.

If you ever get the urge to bet on a hockey game, lay down till the urge passes.

If you hit a winning streak and get ahead a lot, consider taking your original bankroll off the table and playing with just the profits. As night follows day, a good winning streak can be followed by a bad one.

Watch for fishy lines in college basketball in small leagues, such as the Horizon League. If several casinos have this off the board and the line moves so that it crosses zero stay off the game or consider betting which way the money is flowing. It may turn into a very entertaining game to watch in the last two minutes.

Don't bet the board. Be very selective. Surround and pound! Scared money is no money. Less is more!

Don't do parlays. Bet one game at a time. Parlays are for losers. Never bet on a hockey game.

You can do teasers, but be very selective.

When you get burned out on gambling or don't feel you are up to your best game, take a few weeks or months off. Enjoy the profits. Travel the world or do something different. Life is short.

Football rule - Tattoo this rule on your arm: Buy the half point (the hook) either up or down depending whether you are on the favorite or the underdog when the line crosses 3, 4 or 7 and sometimes 10.

In the NFL, skip the game or play the other side when a home team opens up at -2 1/2.

Bet the favorites early and underdogs late, especially in a game that is getting a lot of action. Generally the public will be all over the favorite, driving up the price.
