Fade Nation 'cappers are betting the farm on Notre Dame

Oh no! Steve Budin (100 dime Bowl Game of the Year) and Trace Adams are on Notre Dame too. They both want you to buy half a point up to +10. Craig Davis, Scott Delaney and Anthony Redd are also on the Fighting Irish big time. I found out why the Pick Nation is all on Notre Dame. Its because they are fading Brandon Lang who has Alabama -9 1/2 for 100 dimes.

The Lang Record:

Brandon Lang's analysis:

The right side of this game tonight is without question the team from the SEC.

Folks, you can look at this game 6 ways from Sunday but at the end of the day it comes down to two very important things:  experience and QB play.

As we saw last year against LSU, A.J McCarron stepped up and played perhaps his best game of the year and I fully expect him to duplicate that performance tonight.

He is the best play action QB in all of college football and when, yes I said when, Alabama has success running the football against the Irish, he will torch the Notre Dame secondary like no tomorrow just as he did LSU last year.

In examining both of these teams schedule and how the bowl games have fallen a few games stick out to me that puts me on the favorite here.

Let's start with the Irish and their season in review.

Watching the Pitt Panthers get absolutely dominated and destroyed by Ole Miss in their bowl game I couldn't get the following question out of my head:  How did Pitt go into South Bend and put up 26 on the supposed "Great" Irish defense?

They ran for 144 yards, threw for 164 and even led 20-6 at the half and the Panthers should have won the game outright eventually losing 29-26.

The Irish struggled to beat Purdue 20-17 who lost their bowl game by 200 points to Oklahoma St.  Struggled to beat Michigan, BYU, Stanford and lastly USC.

Do I give them credit for going undefeated?  Sure I do but that undefeated ends here tonight because the offensive line, the defense and the QB play they will see tonight they haven't seen the likes off all year long.

As for the Tide, They destroyed that Ole Miss team I was talking about 33-14, the destroyed the Michigan team that had the Irish on the ropes 41-14 and only had 3 games all year where they had to "compete".

They fumbled at the LSU 10 yard line about to go up 17 and pretty much game over making that a game at LSU.  They let Georgia hang around in the SEC championship game behind QB Murray and their only loss was to Johnny Football.

After tonight you will see Golston is no Johnny Football and the schemes he is going to have to dissect tonight he hasn't seen the likes his entire football career.

It's QB's like this Nick Saban chews up and spits out on a consistent basis over the course of his entire career.

You give him this amount of time to prepare against an offense as offensively challenged as this Irish offense is and folks, this is over before it begins.

It's been a dream season for Brian Kelly and the Irish but tonight they will be outclassed by a better football team that will treat this game like it's a business trip where the Irish are just happy to be here.

You can't discount the Bama experience in a game of this magnitude.  You just can't and that experience alone is worth at least 7 points.

You know why you get blowouts in national championship games?  Because one of the two teams are not supposed to be here. They don't belong.  Simple as that.

This game should have been Oregon and Alabama.  Game, set and match and that would have been one of the greatest matchups we could have ever asked for.

But Oregon imploded at home to Stanford and now we have this game here and it's a blowout.  May be close for awhile but as the offensive line of Alabama wheres down the Irish defense, the blowout happens in the 2nd half.

Congratulations to Nick Saban.  Congrats to the Crimson Tide on another national championship.  They are just that much better across the board than the Irish.

Alabama 34-13

I have not looked too hard at the NBA tonight. I got no opinion on any of those plays.

My only bet tonight is Notre Dame in college football.

    Good luck!

  3. Rick,
Ya know Im the biggest fader of BL. However I do not believe he is making these picks. PickNation's success rests solely on the shoulders of BL. They killed off another capper, Derek Mancini--a similar named character on Melrose Place from the days of Aaron Spelling.
This is a marketing spot that theyre taking full advantage of tonight. Every capper on ND and BL on Bama. If Bama covers he is a single hero who shocked the world. If not they promote all the others. This is way too obvious now that BL isnt posting video. Theyre desparate.
He is a follow now. Keep an eye out.
