Baseball lines and odds here
The Giants and Mets are playing a double header today. I am betting on the first game. Pitchers are two right handers, Lincecum and Batista. The oddsmakers like Lincecum in this matchup, you can get the Mets for +135 or better now. I like betting home underdogs in baseball. You can't just bet favorites and expect to have a winning season, I will never bet more than -140 on a baseball game. This early game in New York should be an interesting game to watch. Will Lincecum give up a bunch of runs right away or will he have a good game?
This is my first play today. If I win this I may have another bet for tonight. I am only betting this if Tim Lincecum is pitching for the San Francisco Giants.
This is a bet on another home team in baseball and a bet against a slumping Giant's pitcher Tim Lincecum.
Fund #2 Original Starting Balance $10,000
Loss up to today $2,611
Fund #2 Today's Starting Balance $7,389
Today's Bet = 10% of $7,389 = $738 on the New York Mets +135 money line (grading it at +135 but shop around for a better line) over the San Francisco Giants, 4:10 PM Eastern
My bank account has taken a hit. I guess it's all about money management. Let's get on a winning steak here.
ReplyDeleteMattyMeach: I don't seem to have a clue. The Lang Fade is not working, nothing is working now. I am taking a break till I find a game I like!
ReplyDeleteblogger good to see ya back! im still running plays for MLB season but just via twitter @choe20.. Running a system thats 24-1-0 YTD (started 2 weeks ago) and +65.95 Units. check it out and send me a PM if you're interested!

Mac,
DeleteI noticed to started the season with some streaky 1st inning props. Now I see you are doing some series chase system. How does that work? Do you double your bet if the teams you pick loses game 1 of the series?
MacMiller: I will check it out!
ReplyDeleteYeah chasing 1 win in a series using 3% of bankroll.. its called RPI Chase you can find it on the Covers thread.. as of now its unofficial plays (just plays that I have capped)
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere in some blog that your only loss in the chase system is on a DET series that that actually won Game 3 but you didn't play it. True? I think I might follow these picks, if you only put them on twitter do you mind if i follow?
ReplyDeleteBlogger, if you don't mind... I wanna take a stab at this for a week. For the next 7 days I will give you my MLB picks, one pick per day. I will post on here every day. Hopefully I at least go 4-3 and not embarrass myself.
ReplyDeleteTonight I'm going with New York Mets +150. I know this pick follows our boy Lang but I don't plan on during that all week for sure.
Actually, doing a little more research I think i like Baltimore -130 today a little more. I will count both picks for the week if you wish.
DeleteMattyMeach: Thanks for posting these picks. I can't count Baltimore as the game has already went off. But I am posting the New York Mets +150 to the sports monitor. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteMattyMeach: I just posted to the sports monitor in the nick of time. I can only count what we give the monitor, so Baltimore does not count. Please post here for a week and I will post to the sports monitor. Thanks again, and good luck!
ReplyDeleteBaltimore lost anyways lol
ReplyDeleteMattyMeach: Does not count, unless its monitored. Good luck with the Mets.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Lang fade will prevail tonight... Not a good way to start off my week
ReplyDeleteLOL...you are ruining my record, lol. Denver Broncos 13 - 6, lol.
ReplyDeleteYou could still win this, New York just scored a field goal, its 13 - 9 now, lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a debacle that was last night. I haven't seen Lang's pick yet today but hopefully he's far away from my pick. Today I'm going to go with Texas Rangers -160 over Tampa Bay. I know that's a lot of juice, especially because I usually like to play underdogs, but I just like the matchup. Rangers batters are .357 lifetime against Niemann while Rays batters haven't faired too well against Lewis (.146)
ReplyDeleteLang has the Dallas Mavs + 7 1/2 visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder as his paid pick.
ReplyDelete4/29/12
ReplyDeleteLooking over today's schedule, I can't really pick a dog with confidence so I'm going with another heavy favorite. Again, this isn't usually the norm for me but I am never going to force a pick. Today's pick is Atlanta Braves -165 over Pittsburgh Pirates.
My record so far ($100/game):
4/27 Mets +150 Lost $66.67 to win $100
4/28 Rangers -160 Bet $160 to win $100
1-1 +$33.33
Matty Meach: Rangers win. Lets go Braves. Lang has Atlanta over Boston in the NBA.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have been having some success on heavy favorites. For my Monday pick, I will go back to trying my luck with an underdog. I actually like 5 out of the 12 matchups tomorrow but only one of them are underdogs. Again I will be betting the same amount 1 unit = $100.
ReplyDelete4/30/12:
LA Dodgers +126 over Colorado Rockies
Record: 2-1 +1.33 units
Lets go Dodgers!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 losses recorded where losses on A to B bets. I have yet to get shut out on a whole series which the original RPI chase (unofficial plays) have already lost 3 series which would put you down in the negative for profits. im currently at a 60% ROI - yes I don't mind at all if you follow my twitter (@choe20). It actually blew up recently by followers because of my posted plays. I basically follow the system but I still backtrack stats from previous years and follow injuries, trends, etc (just like how anyone else would normally cap games). I like the idea of the RPI Chase but I also fell its necessarily to be aware and cap the games itself.
ReplyDeleteApparently I'm no good at picking underdogs. Today I'm going back to the well and picking Dodgers (-102) over the Rockies.
ReplyDeleteGo Dodgers!
ReplyDeleteBrandon Lang has 20 dimes on the over in the Sixers/Bulls game. His analysis:
ANALYSIS
I will jump on this very low total and look for both of these teams to get it going in the transition game.
This is as low a total as I can remember and with as many numbers supporting the high side, it's the high side I will go.
Sixers have gone Over the total last 4 games on Tuesday, 6 straight overs following an ATS loss and 7 straight overs when their opponent scores over a 100 points in their previous game.
Lastly, 11 of their last 12 games have gone over following an ATS loss.
As for the Bulls, 6 straight overs when playing off 2 days rest and 9 of their last 10 games have gone over if their opponent has a winning SU record.
Lastly for me, 13 of the last 17 between these two have gone over and just because Rose is out, these two are still gonna score tonight.
Philly has gone over 6 of their last 8 overall and I will gladly jump on this over tonight as the Sixers force up tempo and this game, much like game one, will find itself on the high side.
Ride the Over in the Midwest tonight.
Another win for me last night bringing my week record to 3-2. I have been burnt by the inconsistent play of the Mets before but I'm going to give them another shot this afternoon as the underdog (+139) over the Astros @ 2:05
DeleteGo Mets! We went 2-0 yesterday with your Dodgers bet and following Lang's over inthe Sixers/Bulls game. Lang pick not up yet today. Lang Faders are on an incredible 836 dime losing streak since February 20, 2012.
ReplyDeleteMy contribution today is the Brandon Lang pick. Brandon Lang Faders are down 836 dimes since January 20, 2012. Mr. Lang has 20 dimes on the Magic and Pacers OVER. Today's official blog plays given to the Sports Monitor:
ReplyDeleteMets
Magic and Pacers Over
Today finishes up my week of picks. Currently sitting at 3-3, I was hoping to do better for sure but hopefully I can get that 4th win. Today I will be on the side of the Yankees (-130) over the Royals. I appreciate you playing along and good luck to whatever you bet today.
ReplyDeleteMattyMeach: Thanks! I will probably follow Lang today. Lets go Yankees!
