Good seeing ya ChevyCola! Here is the secret to the
umpire UNDER streaker system:
Morning guys! Here's what I have so far, anxiously awaiting the herd's plays.
ReplyDeleteDiamondbacks under 7-105 (2%)
Astros under 8-115 (2%)
Red Sox under 9-102 (2%)
Good morning Slats!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Patrick!
ReplyDeleteHey guys, mind if I pop back in for some football? 2-0 so far this season. Won big last night on Denver. Here were my thoughts on that game, and also on 2 games I like for NFL on Sunday that I've been targeting for a month. It's an email I sent to a buddy, so the lines are different now...
ReplyDelete"Denver -8.5 over Baltimore (at Denver)
It's Thursday night - Opening Night. Baltimore ON THE ROAD vs Denver. IMO - Denver completely outclasses the Ravens - who are about as decimated a defending champ as I've ever seen. Coupled with the fact they are on the road and in Mile High - I don't see them competing with a Denver team that's on a mission - and is approaching this as a statement game. This game usually spells Super Bowl hangover for the defending champs. This year it's going to appear more like a drug overdose. Denver by 20 in a route.
Minnesota +3.5 at Detroit
WHY are the Lions favored in this game? Is it because everyone thinks Megatron and Stafford somehow also impact the other 9 positions on offense, and 11 on defense? The Vikings are probably not headed back to the playoffs, but unless Peterson is injured, I don't see how Detroit wins this game, let alone cover a spread that I think will increase.
Indianapolis -7 over Oakland (at Indy)
Oakland is NOTORIOUS for mailing it in during these trips to the Eastern Time Zone. It wouldn't matter if this game was played on Mars. Indy is far superior to an Oakland team. Matt Flynn is the starting QB? The guy was THIRD STRING in Seattle - and they were paying him a hefty salary. The fact they never even looked at him after the first week of training camp is evidence enough they bought a lemon based on a meaningless final season game versus Detroit the previous year. McFadden at RB probably won't even be playing by Week 1 - and if he is, he'll be injured by the 2nd quarter. But an average OL combined with a poor QB throwing to garbage receivers means even if McFadden in healthy, it won't take a genius to key on the running game. Oakland averaged 14.8 points per during the final 8 games - and I think this offense is WORSE than last year. Luck and company win this game going away 31-13.
Well, those are the three games that leap out at me for Week 1."
I got Denver at -7.5 last night, Vikings are getting 5.5 now, and Colts are giving 10 - so that line has moved 3 points since I targeted it on August 10th. And since I wrote this - Pryor has been named Starting QB - further evidence of what a flop Flynn is. Prior isn't much of an improvement.
Hope everyone's summer has been good. I'm feeling better - and ready to go for NFL!
Chevycola
Welcome back Chevy, hope everything is well.
DeleteDoing better. Still have some health issues to work out - but football has perked me up a bit. FYI - my other winner was last week Friday - Dipped Michigan State/Western MI under with Texas Tech (over SMU). Didn't do anything the rest of the last weekend - still gauging a lot of teams). Haven't played any baseball this season. Don't even have an active off-shore right now. Just betting with a local book. Football is my bread and butter though.
DeleteGlad to see you back Chevy! Hope things work out and we love your football write ups. We are going nuts with these umpire UNDER streakers, anything to make a buck.
DeleteSince you are hot, might take your 2 games on Sunday Chevy. Especially if the line moves our way!

Nothing major though. Just some Friday fun.
Good luck Chevy!

ReplyDeleteAdding Sea un 7 -105 for 2%
Rays under 7+102 (2%)
ReplyDeleteWe better do good tonight in baseball, hell, we are betting the dam board, lol.
ReplyDeleteWake Forest +3 (-115) (1/2%)
ReplyDeleteUnder came in, but WF let me down. This is a supposed Bowl ready team? Defense is nearly intact from last year, and BC has about 2 players on offense. Oh well. Can't win them all.
ReplyDeleteYea its an ugly night in bases for us so far 2, who you got your eye on tomorrow Chevy?
