TUESDAY: 33 Dime Loss on the Over 196.5 in the Trailblazers/Kings Game, We Lose a Handicapper

The sports handicapping community is mourning the loss of Cheetah. Cheetah died at the age of 80 Saturday of kidney failure. Many know him as an actor in the Tarzan movies. Few people know that after his acting days, he worked as a sports handicapper. He worked for Stu Feiner for many years before moving to Florida and handicapping there. He worked under many handicapping aliases, but was mostly known as "Mike Warren" and later "Sean Michaels." Cheetah will be greatly missed, for his humor and his NFL selections. RIP Cheetah.

Major fail tonight as the Trailblazers go over 100 points but the Kings get a lot less points than that. Down 33 dimes on the new betting week as my only bet loses. Mr. Lang loses another 55 dimes today and the Indian Cowboy is hot as usual, going 2-1 on his paid picks and winning his free pick.

I am due for a losing day and a losing week. My new sports monitor is ranking me as their top handicapper for the last 7 days (I have only been giving them picks a few days now. I don't bet all the picks I give the sports monitor, only what is here on the blog). Are those paid handicappers there that bad? No wonder the sports books here are so fancy. If you ever get the urge to pay someone for a sports pick, please lay down and stay there until the urge passes.

I am still chuckling, here is a screenshot. I am about the only one there that posts all their picks to the Free Section before the games go off. I can't stop laughing:

Analysis

Statisticaly speaking, one is more powerful than the other.

On one hand you have Tom O'Brien a rock solid 8-1 Straight Up in bowl games and on the other side you have Louisville 12-1 ATS last 13 against the ACC.

Something has got to give with both of these teams tonight and considering just how bad North Carolina got rocked last night, the Big East is looking good here.

It's no secret who has the better overall defense and that is Louisville and quite frankly I love their coach Charlie Strong.

Last time I checked, Strong has 2 national championship rings and O'Brien has none. Advantage Strong.

Down the stretch they couldn't score at Florida State getting shutout 34-0, put up 13 at home to the Tarlheels, lost at Boston College, needed a miracle comeback to beat Maryland.

Yes, they were impreessive beating Clemson but Clemson had no reason to play having already locked up the ACC championship game against V'Tech.

This Cardinal bunch has been in almost every single game this year as their 5 losses were by 7, 4, 7, 9 and 7.

Since that 9 point loss at Cincinnati on October 15th, they reeled off 5 of their last 6 games with the only loss at home to Pitt 21-14.

They've covered 7 of their last 8 games and Strong has this team peaking at just the right time.

The Louisville defense will be the difference as they step up and dominate much the way Missouri dominated the Tar Heels last night.

The small dog packs a big bark tonight.

  4. Hi swngus44, thanks for visiting! I had twitter problems today. I prefer not to give out my picture because of the large amounts of cash I carry around in the morning. My friends at the book are not aware of my blogging, they might try to hit me up for a loan! I think you can understand.
