    7-Unit Play. #202. Take Washington State -4.5 over Colorado State (Saturday @ 2pm est).

    I believe Washington State will have a great opportunity to win this game relatively easily. I have them winning by 11 so to see this at -4.5 is a good number. Bear in mind that Washington State is a top 40 power ranking team which a lot of people don't realize. The Pac was incredibly difficult this year and if you take a look at Washington's 6 wins, you'll notice that they are against the likes of (remember, this team lost to Auburn by a touchdown earlier in the year and that was on the road) USC by 3, lost to Stanford, Oregon State, Oregon, Arizona State and Washington - all of which are top 40 teams. I like the fact this team comes off a loss to their rival Washington on the road by 10 as they will want to end the season on a high note. Coach Leach has transformed this program into a winning one and this bowl game means something to this team. This team's wins come against the likes of Arizona, Utah and Cal all of which are ranked higher than Colorado State. Any team that can go to Arizona and win by a touchdown who is a top 35 team in most power rankings deserve some respect. Colorado State is a team on the rise but after hammering Air Force 58-13, how much is this team going to really get to play Washington State? If you take a look, you will notice all of this team's wins come against teams outside the top 100. They have won against the likes of Cal Poly, UTEP, Wyoming, Hawaii, Nevada and New Mexico, all outside the top 100. When they have faced teams in the top 100, such as Utah State (losing by 13), Boise State (losing by 12), San Jose State (losing by 7), this team has struggled. I like Washington on this short lay to be focused and do well Saturday afternoon.

      7 Unit Play. #592 Take Oregon Ducks -7.5 over BYU Cougars (10:30 pm PAC-12 Network)
      College Basketball Game of the Year.
      Oregon is a sleeping giant and I believe this team can challenge for a berth in Arlington at the
      Final Four. They are 10-0 on the season and one of their key player just came back on Tuesday
      night (Dominic Artis). The Ducks have not even needed him this season and they are a full arsenal
      of players that can beat you in a variety of ways. Only two of the Ducks 10 victories came under
      tonight's posted number and Oregon is No. 2 in the nation in scoring. They have a great coach, a
      great bench, and a great home court advantage. Oregon is 19-6 ATS (1 push) in their last 26
      nonconference games.
      As for BYU, they have some big game wins on the season but they fact remains they are terrible
      on defense. They did win at Stanford, but the Cardinal always look terrible during November and
      Texas is not that good of a team. BYU is all offense and they will have their moments in this game
      when they go on a scoring run but this team is just lost without Brandon Davies in the middle.
      They do not defended whatsoever and thus the No. 2 scoring team in the country should have no
      problem lighting up the scoreboard. Three of BYU four losses came over tonight's posted number.
      BYU is 7-16 ATS in their last 23 road games. Throw in the fact that this will be a PAC-12 reffing
      crew and we are confident that the Ducks will win this game by double digits. BYU is 1-12 in their
      last 13 games against top 25 teams (lost 7 straight).

      4 Unit Play. #573 Take Oklahoma Sooners -3 over Texas A & M Aggies (7 pm ESPN U) Hard to
      gauge in A & M will be any good at all because of the cupcakes they have played all
      nonconference season, but I do not believe they have much firepower in the tank this season. OU
      blew out George Mason in a similar neutral site game and expect another performance like that on
      Saturday in Houston. I just do not believe the Aggies can score enough points to stay in this
      game. Oklahoma is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against SEC teams. Texas A & M is 3-11 ATS in
      their last 14 neutral site games.

      Indian Cowboy's Picks For College Basketball

      7-Unit Play. #576. Take Alabama -5 over Xavier (Saturday @ 7pm est).

      As you are probably aware, I am a big Crimson Tide fan. This is an important game for Anthony Grant and the Tide as they are 5-5 coming into this contest and a loss here would raise even more eyebrows in Tuscaloosa as this team will fall to 5-6. Is he on the hot seat? No. But, a 5-6 team after they lost to Wichita State recently who is a top 15 caliber team at home would certainly not help his cause. This is the only game in town in Tuscaloosa as Football takes a bit of a back seat and it is a night game to boot with a well known program like Xavier coming into town. Xavier is a good club but how much do we really know about this team on the road as they have yet to have a true road game. They are led by a Sophomore in Semaj Christon and they come off a big win against rival Cincinnati who is a solid top 50 program by 17 points. I like them to have a let down here as they go on the road to play a SEC team in Alabama as note this team has lost to the likes of USC and Tennessee by 15 The key factor here is that this team is outside the top 200 as it relates to defense and outside the top 300 in free throw shooting. Alabama will be up for this game to avoid falling below .500 as this is a top 40 defensive team facing a young Xavier team, at home, desperate for a win. Alabama is also top 100 as it relates to free throws and this is an absolute must win for this ballclub as they get ready for UCLA going on the road as they look to avoid going 5-7 for the season. The Muskateers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games, this is a good public fade and Alabama is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 contest at home. This sets up well for a step out for us.

      4-Unit Play. #524. Take Golden State -13 over LA Lakers (Sunday @ 10:30pm est).

      This was our video premium comp today. I talk about verbally if you don't have time to read this. Golden State has not been playing that well lately and this is a statement game for them. This is a big revenge contest after losing to the Lakers in the beginning of the season when the Lakers did not have Kobe. What the public remembers is the Lakers great win against the Timberwolves recently feeding off the crowd's energy in Kobe's first full game out with his new injury. Guys like Xavier Henry, Meeks, Gasol and Hill all came together and played well with renewed energy. But, as this team now faces the Warriors who are not in a good mood after losing to the Spurs (without Duncan/Parker) as Coach Pop stuck it to both Stern and Mark Jackson it seems, they are undoubtedly going to be irritated. So, the public to a tune of about 60% is falling on the underdog here with the points but it's likely a bit of a trap as the Warriors will likely win this going away as our models have them winning by about 18 or more today. Hence, with the Warriors having revenge, coming off a contest where they should have played much better against the Spurs, a Saturday Night game and the second contest for the Lakers without Kobe as they go on the road - look for them to have a let down and the Warriors to win relatively comfortably.

      Indian Cowboy's Picks For NHL Hockey

      3-Unit Play. #72. Take Over 5.5 Goals St. Louis vs. Edmonton (Saturday @ 10pm est).

      This sets up for a decent over here for this late contest. St. Louis comes off a big win against Montreal 5-1 and they typically do well to the Over when they play teams as heavy favorites such as winning 4-3 against Columbus 4-3 in overtime, or winning 5-1 against the Islanders as -200 favorites at home. Such is the case here as they are heavy favorites against Edmonton. But, Edmonton comes back from a terrible 4 game road trip and will be fired up today. If they can score a goal early with the crowd behind them, this should play well to the Over as they can be an active underdog as this is a good public fade. With St. Louis possibly coming out flat after the big win against Montreal, Edmonton being focused facing such a good team at home and coming off a bad road trip and the Over is 4-1 for the Blues following a Win and the Over is 5-1 for the Oilers in their last 6 home games, this makes for a decent Over this evening.
