TUESDAY: $266.43 BET ON THE ATLANTA BRAVES RUN LINE - 1 1/2 +140 OVER THE MIAMI MARLINS

11:49 Eastern Update: I know the line has moved on this run line bet. I still like the play at +120.

Brief comment about the streak, it was all do to the Brandon Lang Fade. I faded every Lang pick since after the All Star Break (I missed the first Friday game) and went 14 - 0 here. Then I won two of my own picks. So the streak is over at 16. My sports monitor's home page today has me as the number one handicapper when I only really handicapped 3 games, the last one losing.

 -------

After losing my last bet on yesterday, my Labby Line today is 14 - 14 - 14 -14 - 23.3. I am betting to win 14 + 23.3 or 37.3 dimes or $373. My bet is $266.43 on the Atlanta Braves run line - 1 1/2 runs  +140 over the Miami Marlins to win $373 or 37.3 dimes.

If I win that bet, my Labby Line on Wednesday will be X - 14 - 14 -14 - X.

If I lose today's bet my Labby Line for tomorrow will be 14 - 14 - 14 -14 - 23.3 - 37.3.

I know the line moved against us during the day. The reason I posted so early (6 am Vegas time) was because of the tremendous line value on this run line bet at that time.

MONDAY: $233.33 BET ON THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS RUN LINE - 1 1/2 +120 OVER THE NEW YORK METS

It appears Mr. Brandon Lang will no longer be giving out daily picks. Mr. Lang is on vacation till August 6.  From Al DeMarco:

Also note that when Brandon returns he will no longer have plays every day. Like Sean Michaels and Bob Valentino, he will only release plays when he has something strong.
What this means for you is that on August 6th you will need to choose a new handicapper to get plays daily through the rest of your current package. Additionally you will be given all of Brandon's plays, when he releases them, through the end of August.

I am rolling up my sleeves here and handicapping the plays myself till further notice. After winning my last bet on yesterday, I am starting a new Labby Line today of 14 - 14 - 14 -14 as my bankroll is now over $14,000. I am betting to win 14 + 14 or 28 dimes or $280. My bet is $233.33 on the San Francisco run line - 1 1/2 runs  +120 over the New York Mets to win $280 or 28 dimes.

If I win that bet, my Labby Line on Tuesday will be X - 14 - 14 - X.

If I lose today's bet my Labby Line for tomorrow will be 14 - 14 - 14 -14 - 23.33.

Mr. Lang's game analysis:

It's going to be hard scoring runs tonight north of the border.

Let's start with Griffin, who comes in having just beaten the Yankees at home going 6 innings of 3 run ball allowing just 7 hits in a 4-3 Oakland win.

Overall, he is rolling solid at 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA and he has only been in the big leagues just over a month.

I don't see anything stopping this kid from dealing solid again here tonight, especially with the A's playing as well as they are going for a 7th straight win.

As for Romero, he had a little hop in his step his last 2 starts allowing 3 runs over 12 innings of 2 previous starts before he went into Yankee stadium and got rocked by New York.

However, in 6 starts versus the A's he is 4-0 with a 1.70 ERA, his best against any team in baseball her has faced more than twice.

All things considered, a good old fashion pitchers duel tonight as this game probably gets decided by the bullpens.

Ride the low side in Canada tonight.

Mr. Lang's Game Analysis:

The Fish draw first blood over the Pirates tonight.

First of all Ricky Nolasco has beaten Pittsburgh 4 in a row and the Marlins as a team have beaten the Pirates 6 in a row.

The home team comes off the mile high effect having won the last 2 of that series and now after a nice day off get ready to do battle at home.

No way around it, they have been fantastic at home where they have won 18 of their last 22 but like I said, they struggle with the Fish.

Nolasco is 8-7 with an ERA over 4 as is his counterpart Correia at 6-6 with an ERA over 4.25.

The difference is Correia is 2-4 his last 14 appearances with an ERA of 7.24 with 7 of those 14 appearances being starts.

He was hammered by them back on May 15th and he will be hammered by them again tonight.

The road team draws first blood again tonight in the steel city.

Mr. Lang's Game Analysis:

I have made money with him before and I will go back to the well with him again.

Jose Quintana is 4-1 with a 2.60 ERA and is looking to get on track on the road as the White Sox try to grab the 4th game of this 4-game set.

Last night the Red Sox hammered them 10-1 doing it with a pair of 3-run homers by Cody Ross and they are looking for similar success against this youngster tonight.

This young rookie did get hit hard at Kansas City in a game the White Sox won 9-8 and his previous start in New York he got hit hard in a 14-7 White Sox win.

Prior to those two starts he was fantastic at LA going 8 shutout innings, at St. Louis going 5 1/3 innings of 1 run ball.

That is the guy I expect to see tonight.

As for Bucholz, he came off the DL and pitched pretty well taking a 3-2 lead into the 7th inning before giving up 2 and lost 4-3.

In 4 meetings versus the White Sox he got completely shelled twice in 2010 and he came back to dominate them twice in 2011.

At this price I will back the youngster and the White Sox to get game 4 at Fenway tonight and head out of town 2-2 in the series clincher.

Value with the underdog in Beantown tonight.

Mr. Lang's Game Analysis:

Coming right back with the lefty on the road in this spot here.

Had myself a nice dog winner in his last start at New York until the Angel bullpen imploded blowing a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the 8th.

Over his last 8 road starts he is 4-0 with a 1.51 ERA.

That folks right there is good enough for me.

As for Fister, he has won his last 2 starts after losing his previous three but against the Angels he has struggled.

He is 0-3 with a 4.54 ERA.

Let the numbers show the Angels are 8-2 in Wilson's last 10 starts overall and 7-1 his last 8 road starts.

As for Fister, how about 1-4 his last 5 starts versus a team with a winning record, 1-5 his last 6 starts on 4 days rest and 1-7 his last 8 when his opponent scored more than 5 runs in their previous game.

Oh, and he is 0-6 his last 6 starts following a Quality start in his last game.

All systems go for the road team in game 3 of this series tonight.

Mr. Lang's Analysis:

He is finally ready to step up and pitch well tonight.

Last year he made 28 starts going 11-11 with an ERA of 4.61 and was looking forward to a big year this year.

However the injury bug got him last August with a strain in his throwing shoulder and he still felt soreness in spring training which led to the DL on opening day.

He was put in service in early June and over the last month has been dealing in the minors where he has flat out found it.

After throwing 7 scoreless innings over his last start Wednesday, he gets called up to start tonight with this injury plagued starting staff of the O's.

Already down for the count is Jason Hammel (Knee surgery) out for a month, Brian Matusz and Jake Arrieta both recently sent down for poor outings.

As Britton said, "I feel more confident going into this year because I know I have prepared right."

The O's are trying to rebound after last night's 19-7 beat down and they get to feast on Samuel Deduno.

In his first big league start he gave up 3 runs including 2 homers in a 4-3 loss in 10 innings to the Rangers.

All things considered, I like the fact Britton has won his last 2 starts versus the Twins with an ERA of just over 3.

I will gladly jump on the O's to bounce back against a team that before Monday night they had beaten 7 in a row outscoring them 39-9.

Ride the small road chalk to a big win tonight.

Mr. Lang's Analysis:

All about the young righty staying red hot on the road in what I feel will be another dominating effort.

In 8 of his last 9 outings, Sale is 7-0 with a major league best 1.67 ERA giving 2 runs or less in 8 of those 9 outings.

He went into the all-star break shutting down the Rangers to the tune of 1 run on 5 hits over 7 1/3 innings of a 19-2 White Sox win.

With the White Sox coming off the 6-3 loss last night, I look for Sale to shut down the Royals all day long and for their offense to tee off on Mendoza.

Since returning to the rotation, Mendoza is 1-2 with a 3.26 ERA in 5 starts getting a total of 7 runs support.

The bottom line is Mendoza will make mistakes, the White Sox will capitalize and Sale will shut them down all day long.

Perfect spot to take the big road favorite, run line him down to a very good price and cash a winning ticket.

I also love the fact the White Sox are 8-2 their last 10 versus the AL Central and 20-8 their last 28 as a road favorite.

You throw in the Royals a dismal 1-7 their last 8 versus the AL Central and it's all systems go for the road team.

Roll with a 2-run victory for the better team today.

Mr Lang's analysis of the game:

Going to ride the knuckleballer on the road early this afternoon in good old hotlanta.

Since he was destroyed for 8 runs on 8 hits on this field back on April 18th, Dickey hasn't lost since going 10-0 with a 1.84 ERA.

As he goes for #11 in a row today he does so against Tommy Hanson who comes in having a pretty good year as well.

At 10-5 with an ERA pushing 4, he has gone 5-1 since the beginning of June and just beat the Phillies 6-3 on Saturday before the all-star break.

However, if there is one team Mr Hanson has struggled with over the course of his career, it has historically been these New York Mets.

Back on April 16th he lost his 4th straight start against them giving up 5 runs in 7 innings of a 6-1 loss pushing his ERA to 6.64 in this 4 game series losing streak.

All things considered, I love Dickey at this price and considering the Mets and their success versus Hanson, I'll roll the dice with the boys from the big apple early today.

This near pickem road team steps up with a big win today.

The plays posted here are given to a sports monitor and given out before the game in the free picks section. The blog did good the last 7 days according to our sports monitor. Using a Labby Line makes the win-loss stats not so important. But its good to post the plays to an independent sports monitor. One record over several years says something. So does the money management.

Mr. Lang's Game Analysis: Looking to create some great value again tonight. Over his first 3 home starts this year the Angels have won all three of Garrett Richards starts. They beat the Mariners 6-1 as Richards went 7 innings allowing just 1 earned, beat the D'backs 2-0 as Richards went 8 shutout innings and beat the Dodgers 5-3 as he gave up 3 in 6 2/3 innings. Overall, he is 2-1 with a 2.81 ERA and I truly believe we are getting some value after he got shellead at Toronto in his last start. As for Arrieta, he has struggled to find any consistency this year. Over his last 4 road starts he is 0-3 losing to the Nationals 2-1 in a no decision, lost to Toronto 8-6 as he gave up 6 earned, lost at Tampa giving up 6 earned and lost at the Mets giving up 4 earned. All told, he is 3-9 for a reason with an ERA for a reason and over his last 10 starts, he has been ripped for over 4 runs or more in 7 of those home or away. In his last 52 innings he has given up 42 runs. Enough said. Watch the Angels come back home and handle their business in a very emphatic way tonight. Roll with the value on the run line and cash a nice dog ticket.

WEDNESDAY: EARLY GAME TODAY, $295.89 BET ON THE WASHINGTON NATIONALS -105 OVER THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

Happy 4th of July!

I continue to fade Lang using the Labby Line. Why do I use a Labby Line? Because Brandon Lang's record this year is 89-116-5 (down -130.5 dimes). Mr. Lang is a 43.4% handicapper this year! That is perfect for using the Labby.

After losing yesterday my Labby Line today is 10 - 10 - 10 - 10 - 18.18 so I will be betting to win 10 + 18.18 or betting to win 28.18 dimes. My bet is $295.89 on the Washington Nationals -105 over the San Francisco Giants to win $281.80 or 28.18  dimes.

If I win that bet, then Thursday my Labby Line will become X - 10 - 10 - 10 - X (I will be betting to win 20 dimes tomorrow).

 If I lose today's bet my Labby Line for tomorrow will be: 10 - 10 - 10 - 10 - 18.18 - 29.58

Mr. Lang's Game Analysis:

Let's keep this short and sweet.

Madison Bumgarner is absolutely rolling to the tune of 10-4 with a 2.85 ERA coming off a completely dominant one hit 8 strikeout performance in a 5-0 win over the Reds at home.

Now he faces a team that in 2 career starts he has given up just one earned run.

He will be as confident as ever when he takes the mound early today.

As for Jackson, he hasn't beaten them since September of 2003 when he was with the Dodgers.

In his 2 other starts against this Giants team he was with the D'backs in 2010 and he lost both while posting a 4.85 ERA. Not exactly confidence building numbers now are they?

Edwin comes into this matchup off a having given up 8 runs on 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings of a 11-10 loss at Colorado.

The Giants are 22-4 in Bumgarners last 26 starts as a favorite while the Nats are 0-5 in their last 5 games as a home dog and 3-7 as a team in Jacksons last 10 starts.

Considering the struggles of Jackson against this Giants team and the flat out winning consistency of Bumgarner, the price is right for the road team to strengthen their lead in the NL West.

Grab the value all day long early today in our nations capital.
